Matrix MLM software organises the downline into a fixed width — commonly 2×2, 3×3 or 5×5 — so every member has a predictable number of direct positions. When a position is full, new members spill over into the next open slot, which keeps teams balanced and makes level commissions easy to explain.
Structure and placement rules
Width and depth are configured per plan. A 3×3 matrix gives each member three direct positions and three levels of commission; a 5×5 gives five positions and five levels. The software enforces the structure automatically.
Spillover is the defining behaviour: members sponsored by someone whose matrix is full land under the next available position. This rewards early members and keeps the tree dense instead of wide.
