Stair step (breakaway) MLM software pays commission based on rank and differential percentages. Members climb a staircase of ranks, and when a downline member reaches a higher rank, that leg “breaks away” and pays a smaller differential instead of full commission.
Structure and placement rules
Each rank has a commission percentage. A member earns the difference between their own percentage and the percentage of the member below them, which keeps payouts proportional to rank.
Breakaway legs are tracked separately: once a leg breaks away, the upline earns a reduced rate on that leg plus any leadership pool share, depending on the plan rules.
